Dr. Neeraj Goyal joined as new Principal of Multani Mal Modi College Patiala

Dr. Neeraj Goyal assumed office as the principal of M.M. Modi College, Patiala on January 1, 2024. He took charge in the presence of members of the Management, Modi Education Society – Colonel Karminder Singh and Prof. Surindra Lal and the Academic Council of the college. He was accorded a warm welcome by the management and the teaching and non-teaching staff.
Prof. Surindra Lal, Member Committee stated that Dr. Neeraj Goyal joined the college in August 2000 and had been serving as Head of the Department of Management and Dean (Academics), Convener, Admission Cell and Member of various administrative and academic committees of the college. He also remained member of faculty of business studies and board of studies Business Management, Punjabi University, Patiala. In addition, he also served as member of regional advisory council of Income Tax. Dr. Neeraj Goyal has qualification of MBE, MCom, UGC NET Commerce and Management and PhD in faculty of Business Management. He has vast teaching and administrative experience, and his appointment has created a history as he is the first internal principal of the college in its 56 years of history.
In his maiden speech, Dr. Goyal delineated that he would work diligently for the overall development of the college. He said that he would make all possible efforts to enhance the glory of the institution by streamlining further both academic and administrative functions. He also showed his concerns about the increasing trend of migration that has led to a rapid decline in admissions to higher education institutions. In the end, Dr. Goyal expressed his sincere gratitude to the management for reposing faith in him.

ਅੱਜ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਲਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਨਲ ਕਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ। ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਲਾਲ ਨੇ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੂੰ ਬਤੌਰ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਦਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਤੇ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਦੀ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਰ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਲਾਲ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਦੇ ਥੋੜੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕਤਾ, ਖੇਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਸਰਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਨਵੇਂ ਦਿਸਹੱਦੇ ਛੁਹੇਗਾ।
ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ 23 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨਿਭਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਦਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਬਤੌਰ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਬਿਜਨਸ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਕਾਰਜਰਤ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨਿਕ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਲੰਬਾ ਤਜਰਬਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੀ ਡੀਨ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਨਵੀਨਰ, ਅਡਮੀਸ਼ਨ ਸੈੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਕਮੇਟੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ, ਐਮ.ਬੀ.ਈ., ਐਮ.ਕਾਮ., ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੂ.ਜੀ.ਸੀ. ਨੈਟ ਅਤੇ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਆਫ਼ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀ.ਐਚ.ਡੀ. ਦੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ 50 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਖੋਜ ਪੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੇਖਕ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਆਫ਼ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ, ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਦੇ ਬੋਰਡ ਆਫ਼ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ (ਸਿੱਖਿਆ) ਮੈਂਬਰ ਰਹਿ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਉਹ ਇੰਕਮ ਟੈਕਸ ਰਿਜਨਲ ਐਡਵਾਇਜ਼ਰੀ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੀ.ਸੀ.ਐਮ.ਏ. ਦੇ ਰਿਜ਼ਲਨ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨਿਭਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮਾਣ-ਸਨਮਾਨ ਵੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਜੋਕੇ ਦੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵਟਾਂਦਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਮੀਦ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਲਿਜਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
ਇਸ ਅਵਸਰ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਕੌਸਲ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਹੋਰ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
